Pulaski is a community of 9,473 located just off of U.S. Interstate 81 (just north of where Interstate 77 intersects with 81) in southwest Virginia. Pulaski is home to the county government and has a strong tradition of employment in basic manufacturing including furniture, textiles, the automotive industry and other industry types.
We have an excellent public education system that includes a new elementary school inside the Town. There is nearby access to higher education. New River Community College, a leader in Information Technology, electronics, instrumentation, distance learning, and a wide array of liberal arts programs is just 10 minutes from Pulaski. Virginia Tech and Radford University, leading undergraduate and
graduate institutions, are just 30 minutes from our community.
Our Town has an active Economic Development program offering a variety of industrial and commercial sites. Pulaski is interested in building on our manufacturing heritage while looking ahead to the transformation that information technology is bringing to the workplace.
